I moved to London not knowing what to expect or even what I wanted. Then I met Rob. As soon as I saw him I knew I wanted to photograph him, his face, his body. I wanted to capture his character, his personality, an aspect of his life that was part of mine too. We didn’t need any preparation; we understood each other without words. It all happened just like that. We became friends.

 

It was my first series, the one to determine my future work. It was the start of it all.
